What are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Artificial intelligence which we define as Ai is a relatively large concept that seeks to simulate human thought processes in machines, while machine learning is a subset of artificial intelligence that teaches machines from data. The advanced research and success of scientists and technocrats on AI have brought that technology into line with our current lives.

With the advancement of the Internet generation (3G, 4G, 5G), the use and effectiveness of that AI-based technology have increased. Whether it’s Internet technology or Wi-Fi, asking to search engine anything, for example, does frontier have wifi,  is not difficult to find out through AI.

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science where the human brain is controlled or mimicked by a computer. Using this technology, human thinking power and intelligence are controlled by computers. At present, we see the use of artificial intelligence in education. For example, the software is being created using artificial intelligence and robots are also being controlled.

Types and uses of Artificial intelligence

We will try to learn about the differences and uses of Artificial intelligence here.

i. ANI or Artificial Narrow Intelligence: ANI is an expert in a specific area. For example, a machine that can play chess can only play chess well. Although playing Carrom Board is easier than playing chess, if he is allowed to play Carrom Board instead of chess, he will not be able to. We define this as the first step of artificial intelligence.

ii. AGI or Artificial General Intelligence: The second stage of artificial intelligence is AGI. It is also called Strong AI, or Human-Level AI. At this stage, the computer will be able to think like a human, plan like a human, solve problems, suddenly look around in a new environment, and will be able to adapt to the environment.

iii. ASI or Artificial Super Intelligence: This is the third stage of artificial intelligence. When computers are smarter than humans, we call them Artificial Super Intelligence. Researchers are now worried about what will happen if artificial super-intelligence systems are created, whether it will be good or bad.

According to some experts, the device will be able to provide better service to humans in most cases due to artificial intelligence. They will do a lot of human work. Today’s generation is using AI technology-based Google Assistant or Siri on their smartphones. If you want to chat, you don’t have to bother typing anymore. When Alexa asks to listen to a song, she asks what song, etc. That is why the power of AI is not limited to smartphones only. With the improvement of the internet like frontier wifi, the demand for such technology is increasing fast as well.

What is machine learning?

Machine learning is a process that allows a machine or software to learn something on its own and to be more up-to-date. Machine learning is when an algorithm is implemented through programming to solve a problem so that the computer itself can learn from the environment and past events.

We have used such programs regularly. As you can think about Facebook, you don’t see all the posts in your news feed. Facebook algorithm shows you news or posts according to your choice. Whether you like it or not, Facebook slowly understands what you need to show. This is an example. We have a lot of machine learning programs on our smartphones— Siri, Cortana, OK Google, etc.

Types and uses of Machine Learning

We can divide machine learning into 4 special categories. We will now learn about their differences and uses of them. i. Supervised Learning: A program is trained based on a number of pre-defined datasets. And the program also makes decisions based on the collected datasets. The whole process is called Supervised Learning. For example, the decision whether the email received in your inbox is spam – based on some previous data.

ii. Unsupervised learning: Some data input is given in the program and the program makes all kinds of decisions based on that data. And this is unsupervised learning. In the case of unsupervised learning, the output is not stated anywhere and the program automatically understands it. Some students are sitting in such a classroom. This program will divide the students into different categories, it is Unsupervised Learning.

iii. Semi-Supervised learning: Semi-supervised learning is a combination of supervised and unsupervised.

iv. Reinforcement learning: At this stage of machine learning, the machine gradually updates some of its programs. However, this program automatically understands when to stop updating. In other words, it realizes that if it continues to move forward, the program may end on its own, then it will slow down on its own. In other words, if you understand the condition of the program well, it will move forward and if you understand the danger, it will stop.

To sum up…

Anyone or anything needs to learn to be intelligent. Being able to learn a program on their own is machine learning. It could be a robot or any software. Machine learning is an approachable sub-field of Artificial Intelligence. In a typical computer program, we tell the logic of what will work next, and the program works accordingly. These automatically understand what needs to be done.
